The role: Director of Marketing, Russia
You will be responsible for supporting Google's growth and revenue generating efforts in Russia through effective, results-focused and inspirational marketing campaigns. You will be a key part of the Russian country leadership team, working alongside PR, engineering and product teams, and the rest of the EMEA marketing team to deliver effective strategy for the country. You will drive projects such as: defining and implementing country marketing plans and communications strategy; determining ROI on advertising expenditures; defining market research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behaviour; and developing collateral that optimally positions the strengths of our products. The role reports into the Marketing Director for Southern and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa who is based in London.
Responsibilities:
Be on the leadership board of the country team, working with all functions across Google such as the PR team, engineering and product teams around the world, to deliver effective strategies for Russia
Champion the needs of the Russian market in a fast-changing and dynamic international company and contribute proactively to the overall development of Google through ideas and creativity based on solid market and sector knowledge.
Help shape country business strategy by representing the user and advertiser
Lead a marketing team
Define and implement country marketing plans and communications strategy including determining ROI on marketing/advertising, defining market research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behaviour and developing marketing campaigns that optimally position the strengths of our products.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree (MBA or MA). In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience
Experience of marketing in Russian market
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to deliver outstanding and highly creative marketing achievements and a successful track record of increasing company revenue through well-executed marketing efforts. Classical marketing skills within Internet, online services/media/tech industry experience. Consulting experience is a plus.
Understanding of Google's strategic and competitive position.
Strong aptitude for cross-functional business plans, as well as the marketing plans that derive from it. Thorough knowledge of off/online advertising planning, tracking and reporting.
Entrepreneurial attitude to business with the ability to effectively translate opportunity into business advantage. Strong interest in Internet and technology solutions that improve life
Outstanding people management skills, ability to motivate and bring the best out of a high calibre team
Fluency in Russian and English.
